Parenting fines

This story from Mail Online wins our "Gripe of the Week" award. The government has had enough of parents taking kids on holiday during term-time and they plan to put mums and dads on the naughty seat by fining them.

We see the government's point. We also see the dilemma for parents: Holidays in peak season can be very expensive and, contrary to tabloid headlines that high rates are a travel industry stitch-up, peak season is expensive because of the school holidays.
